Amina’s life took an unexpected turn in 2017 when her father passed away. This tragic event, coupled with the rising cost of living in Nairobi, forced her family to relocate to the rural area of Kitui. There, they faced numerous challenges, including poverty and inadequate housing.

Fortunately, the Charles Musyoka Matuku Foundation discovered their plight. Moved by their resilience and determination, the foundation took the initiative to build them a two-bedroom house, providing a much-needed sense of security and comfort.

Despite the challenges, Amina’s spirit remained unbroken. With unwavering determination, she focused on her education, recognizing it as a pathway to a brighter future. Thanks to the support of the foundation, she secured a place at AIC Sombe Girls High School, where she is diligently working to excel in her academics.
