My name is Flora Mutheu, I was born and brought up in Kitui County by a single mother. My mother is mentally ill and it makes it difficult for her to do any income generating activities to provide for her family. Due to those challenges, my aunt took me in and started living with me. She would provide for basic needs but still straggled to pay my high school education because
she had her children in school too.

When I was in form one my aunt was involved in a road accident and she was badly injured. It made it difficult for the aunt to continue working since she was the breadwinner of the family.Every money they got from well-wishers was going to her medical care. This incidence made me to be sent home frequently due to lack of school fees. Relatives and other family members came together to raise funds my school fees but still it was not enough.

In 2019, the foundation came in and helped me to clear school fees arrears and continued to support my education throughout secondary school. I completed high school in the year 2021, performed very well and was called to join Meru University to pursue bachelor of science in mathematics and physics.

I am currently in second year and the foundation has continued to support me to ensure I completes my education. My ambition is work hard and change the situation at home, take care of my mother and siblings better. I lack words to express my gratitude to the Foundation for the unconditional love it has accorded to me. May god bless Charles Musyoka Matuku Foundation.
