My name is Justus Muthui, born and brought up in Kitui County. My mother passed on when I was young and my father became a drunk and could not take care of me anymore. He went to another town to look for a job and I was left under the care of my elder brother who does casual jobs whenever he finds them.

In high school I was lucky to get a scholarship with wings to Fly scholarship program offered through Equity bank in Kenya. The scholarship took care of my high school fees comfortably until I completed high school. I managed to get a B+ grade in my Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) but unfortunately the scholarship could not continue to cater for my university education. This is because the program program could only continue with students who attained the grade of A- and above in KCSE.

I was called to join University of Nairobi but I could not do so because of lack of school fees. Members of the church I attend and well-wishers helped me to raise funds for school fees but it was not enough. I was forced to defer the first year of university to continue looking for fund enough to allow me to be admitted in the university.

It is during this time that a well-wisher connected me to CMMF who sympathized with my story and offered to pay my university school fees and board. I am currently in second year pursuing bachelor degree in Information science. Words cannot express how thankful I am for CMMF’s unwavering support throughout my educational journey may God bless you.
