Masavi Malii

College and TVET Student
Growing up in Kitui County in a large family, the odds were against me in my educational journey. The Charles Musyoka Matuku Foundation stepped in, providing crucial support from high school through my current vocational training in Motor Vehicle Mechanics. Their unwavering support has been my lifeline, and I am committed to excelling and giving back. Thank you, CMMF, for believing in me and countless others.

Masavi Malii’s Story

My name is Masavi Malii, from Kitui County, Kenya, and I am the eighth-born in a family of nine children. Our parents passed on when I was young, and our aunt took us in to take care of us. It was very difficult for my aunt to sufficiently meet the needs of such a large family, given that she also had her own children.

Paying our school fees was greatly challenging for us, since most of us had already joined high school. On my part, I had lost of continuing with my education beyond elementary school after my elder sibling had dropped out of school for lack of school fees. I learnt about CMMF through a neighbor and applied and was accepted. My educational journey has been smooth ever since. The foundation paid for my high school and is paying for my college education.

Currently, I am on industrial attachment before completing my Diploma in Motor Vehicle Mechanics at Mulango Vocational Training Center. I thank the foundation for their efforts to help needy achieve their goals in life. I assure the foundation that I am working hard and promise to give my best to all that I will do.
